Hearing Tests (Audiometry)
Hearing Tests (Audiometry)
Hearing tests are routinely performed during the 6-, 11-, and 14-year preventive health checkups.
Hearing assessments are also conducted whenever there is a suspicion of hearing impairment – for instance, if a child speaks unusually loudly, has speech delay, or seems not to hear or understand instructions clearly. Play audiometry can be successfully performed as early as 3–4 years of age.
